When Judge Robart halted DT’s unconstitutional travel ban because it would cause “immediate and irreparable injury,” his analysis included a test and specifically a word that big media and the GOP have completely forgotten. In so doing, they have permanently altered our country and its symbolic and literal democratic standing in the world. The word is “irreparable,” a word so significant, yet so ignored by red voters. DT’s campaign itself, his tweets, his election, his continuing tweets, and now his executive actions have caused and will continue to cause irreparable injury to communities and individuals. These are injuries to human beings which cannot be undone – caused by denial of asylum, healthcare, clean air and water, by the rise in hate crimes, by the emboldened Nazi and white terror groups who strike fear in neighborhoods and communities, by communities’need take precautions to avoid being targeted by white people, by the heartbreak of parents whose children are/were bullied for have “suspicious skin tones.” The list goes irreparably and wastefully on. All this injury has happened, is happening, or is threatened, and no matter which, all of it is permanent. It’s irreparable. Big media and the GOP in failing, utterly, to hold accountable and check/balance DT for two years now, have irreparably injured human beings, shamelessly, tragically, and unnecessarily.
